Day 1: Arrival in Paro – E-Bike Orientation
You will depart from [Your Departure City] on Drukair (Bhutan's national carrier). Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Dasa Holidays Guide and transferred to your resort. After checking in and relaxing, you will meet your team for an essential E-Bike Orientation, where you will select and test your E-Bikes—your trusted companions for the journey ahead. Day 2: Paro to Thimphu | E-Cycle the Dodina Loop
After breakfast, you will check out and begin your first epic cycling day. The route takes you from Paro towards Thimphu, including the challenging but rewarding Dodina Loop. This long-distance E-Cycle adventure offers stunning views and covers approximately 60 kilometers with a total elevation gain of around 900 meters. Upon arrival, check in to Damchoe's Homestay, a charming family estate offering a unique, authentic Bhutanese experience. Later, drive to visit the magnificent Tashichho Dzong. Day 3: Thimphu | Tshechu Festival & Culture
Today is dedicated to a cultural immersion in Thimphu. You will witness the magnificent annual Thimphu Tshechu Festival in the courtyard of Tashichho Dzong—a spectacle of color, music, and sacred mask dances that celebrates Bhutanese traditions and community spirit. For lunch, enjoy an authentic Bhutanese set menu at Babesa Village Restaurant, a unique eatery nestled within traditional mud houses. Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha | Conquer Dochula Pass
This is one of the most scenic and challenging days of the expedition! You will E-Cycle from Thimphu to Punakha, conquering the iconic Dochula Pass (approx. 70 km; 1,000m elevation gain). At the pass, admire the 108 memorial chortens and a breathtaking panorama of the Eastern Himalayas. En route, visit the historic Simtokha Dzong. After the descent, enjoy a picnic lunch break in Lobesa Village. Finally, check in to your resort and visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, nestled at the confluence of two rivers. Day 5: Punakha Valley Exploration | E-Cycling & Rafting
Today, you will E-Cycle to the famous Chimi Lhakhang Monastery (approx. 12 km), known as the "Fertility Temple." Afterward, switch your gear for a thrilling River Rafting experience on the Mo Chhu River, a gentle yet exciting ride past the Royal Palace. Day 6: Punakha to Paro | E-Cycle to Tashithang & Drive
After breakfast, check out and tackle the challenging Tashithang Loop by E-Bike (approx. 40 km; 800m elevation gain), conquering a beautiful, gradual climb to Tashithang, the 'Jewel of the East.' You will then drive back to Paro, checking back into the Dharma Resort. Day 7: Paro | Tiger's Nest Hike & Traditional Relaxation
The final full day is dedicated to the spiritual highlight of Bhutan: the hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), clinging to a cliff 800m above the valley floor. After the exhilarating 2-3 hour climb (depending on fitness), you can choose to relax with an optional Hot Stone Bath (a traditional Bhutanese experience). By booking this E-Cycling Expedition, you acknowledge the inherent risks of adventure travel and agree to be bound by the following specific terms and conditions, in addition to our general booking policies.
1. Adventure Activity & Assumption of Risk
Fitness Requirement: Guests must certify they are in good health and possess the physical fitness required for strenuous activities, including long-distance E-Cycling (up to 70 km per day) and the high-altitude trek to Tiger’s Nest.
Assumption of Risk: Participation in E-Cycling, River Rafting, and trekking is voluntary. The Guest assumes all risks associated with these activities, including injury, illness, or death.
Waiver: Guests will be required to sign a specific liability waiver form upon arrival acknowledging the risks associated with the adventure elements of this tour.
2. E-Cycle & Equipment Responsibility
Rental: The tour price includes the rental of the E-cycle. Guests are responsible for using the equipment safely and adhering to the instructions of the cycling guide.
Damage/Loss: Guests will be held responsible for any damage, loss, or misuse of the rented E-cycle and specialized cycling equipment beyond normal wear and tear.
3. Tour Services & Support
Expert Guidance: The services of a professional Cycling Guide and support staff, along with a dedicated backup vehicle, are included to ensure safety and assistance throughout the cycling routes.
Itinerary Changes: The itinerary, particularly the E-Cycling routes and distances, is subject to change without prior notice due to weather, road conditions, or other factors deemed necessary by the Tour Manager or Cycling Guide for the safety of the group.
4. Bhutan Fees & Documentation
SDF: The payment of the mandatory Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) for Bhutan is included in the tour price.
Permits: Necessary permits for all cycling routes and activities are the responsibility of Dasa Holidays, but the Guest must provide required documentation promptly.
5. Inclusions and Exclusions
The tour price is strictly limited to the inclusions listed under 'What’s Included'. All personal expenses, tips, and any meals not mentioned (specifically most lunches) are excluded.
Optional Services: The Hot Stone Bath is an optional activity, and any associated costs are not included unless specified otherwise.
