Day 1: Leh Arrive at Leh – the largest city and the capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh. This region is known for its high passes, dramatic mountains, and beautiful landscapes, hence, known as paradise on Earth. On arrival, you will have free time to get acclimatized to this high-altitude destination, referred to as the cold desert of India. Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Leh Explore the city of Leh. Visit Shanti Stupa - a peace seat of Japanese Buddhists, inaugurated by the Dalai Lama, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Indus-Zanskar Sangam, Leh Palace, and the Hall of Fame War Museum (subject to operation). Free time for shopping (if time permits). Enjoy a Folk dance in the evening (subject to operation). Extra Topping: Tea / Coffee / Soft Drink at Leh Palace. Juice at Leh. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Leh – Khardung La Pass – Diskit – Hunder Village Sand Dunes - Nubra Valley Morning, we drive to Nubra Valley, also called Dumra, which lies to the north of Leh. It is accessible over the Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at a height of 5359 m. From Khardung-la, we drive to Diskit Monastery - the oldest and largest Gompa in Nubra Valley, famous for its beautiful architecture and intricate frescos and wall paintings. Also visit the Future Buddha - a 108-foot statue of Lord Buddha. Later, we visit Hunder Sand Dunes, a popular tourist destination famous for its unique beauty. Pass by the Shyok River and arrive at Nubra Valley, known for its pristine natural beauty, stunning lakes, apricot orchards, and lovely surroundings. This spectacular valley is also known for the Bactrian camels and Quad biking. If time permits, you can enjoy these activities on your own at an additional cost. Day 4: Nubra Valley – Turtuk Village – Nubra Valley Today, we take an excursion to Turtuk Village. The landscape, culture, language, clothing, and even the physical features of the people change quite drastically when crossing over into Turtuk, technically entering the Baltistan region. It is the Indian-administered part of the Baltistan region. In the 1971 war, the Indian army captured this village, and it is the last village in Ladakh near the LOC. It is also one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier. Later, also visit Thang Village (subject to operation) - a small village in the Leh district. We also take a photo stop at the LOC Point. In the evening, we return to Nubra Valley. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake Travel to Pangong Tso – the most popular lake in the Ladakh region, as it is situated at a high altitude and keeps changing color from shades of blue to green. The brackish water of this lake has very low micro-vegetation and no aquatic life. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a variety of birds, including several migratory birds. The lake water stretches for more than 100 km from China, Tibet to India. Overnight at Pangong. Extra Topping: Tea / Coffee / Soft Drink en-route to Pangong. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6: Pangong Lake - Leh Morning, we proceed to Leh. On arrival, visit Shey Palace – which was used as a summer retreat by the kings of Ladakh. Also view the Indus River, Hemis Gompa, and Rancho School (subject to operation). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7: Leh Board the flight to your hometown. The tour concludes. Meals: Breakfast

  • Cancellations: If you cancel, a cancellation fee will be applied based on how close to the departure date you cancel. Dasa Holidays may cancel a tour for unforeseen reasons, in which case a full refund of the tour cost will be issued.

  • Itinerary Changes: The tour itinerary is subject to change due to factors like weather or local conditions (e.g., road closures).

  • Your Responsibility: You are responsible for carrying valid ID and travel documents. Due to the high altitude of Ladakh, it is crucial to follow the acclimatization schedule and your tour leader's guidance. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.
